It's a...
We are having a girl! I had my 18 week appt yesterday and we were able to find out the sex of the baby. Everything else looks healthy at this point as well, but we go back in 4 weeks for the level two ultrasound where they check all of the individual parts of the baby to make sure there are no concerns. My doctor said that while it was early to say for sure, he did not see anything on the ultrasound yesterday that he didn't like. So - yea! Healthy baby girl! While I certainly wouldn't care what we had as long as it was healthy, I think I was hoping it would be a girl. Girl's clothes are so much more fun. The only down side is that Dave and I can not agree on girl names at all. There are a few in the running, but nothing we are both completely satisfied with. Oh well, we still have 5 months to work it out.
The nursery is slowly starting to come together as well. My Mom and I bought a crib and changing table the other day, which are not put together yet, but at least we have them. For the most part the room has been cleared out, which was no easy task as that extra room had become our storage space. We are also waiting on a rocker and ottoman for the room to be delivered. Especially these days, it seems like we never have a free weekend to get anything accomplished, so it has been a slow but steady process. The more we get done the more excited I am to meet this little peanut though. It's finally starting to feel real. I am going to be a Mommy!
